Dr Tai Ken Ting is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Clinical Informatics Lead and Clinical Safety Lead at 33n, a clinician-led health technology consultancy. At 33n he leads a data science and AI engineering team using large language models to turn free-text notes, letters, and consultation transcripts into structured, auditable evidence for audit, service evaluation, and pathway redesign. He created CLEARvalidate, an evaluation framework for AI-generated clinical documentation, and leads clinical safety assurance for tools including AI scribes ensuring they meet NHS clinical safety standards before reaching patients. He has also led workforce modelling and service redesign programmes across operating theatres, emergency departments, and elective recovery.
