Farhan Hayat is a manager in the Diversity and Inclusion Team at Surrey Police and chairs one of the force’s largest staff networks Surrey Police Association of Culture and Ethnicity. (SPACE). Since joining the team Farhan has focused much attention on building authentic relationships internally and externally to the organisation. Through his work in diversity and inclusion and race equality, Farhan has delivered activity that allows people to learn by living the experience of others, building honest empathy and understanding. Through work around Positive Action, Farhan has formed strong links with communities and supported on the recruitment of officers and staff from diverse backgrounds.
