Dr. Mojdeh Mardani is the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Lead for the Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, where she also serves as the Teaching and Learning (T&L) Lead and a Senior Lecturer in Electronics. With over 17 years of experience in higher education and the engineering sector across U.S. and UK universities, Dr. Mardani has established herself as a leader in promoting inclusive strategies in education and fostering student success.

Her scholarly research centers on EDI and pedagogical studies. In her PhD research, Dr. Mardani explored the unique experiences of underrepresented minority (URM) populations, focusing on the effects of bias and microaggressions on women and other URM groups in STEM fields. She also investigated the role of allies and allyship in enhancing the motivation, success, and sense of belonging of URM individuals within organizations and peer networks.

Dr. Mardani’s recent research and presentations delve into the experiences of neurodiverse employees and students, emphasizing neuro-inclusion and its benefits in both workplace and educational environments.
