The Ben Kinsella Trust

Patrick joined The Ben Kinsella Trust in 2016 from Victim Support where he had been Deputy Director for London. The Ben Kinsella Trust was founded by Brooke Kinsella MBE and her family following the murder of her brother Ben in an unprovoked knife attack in 2008. The Ben Kinsella Trust campaigns for justice and action for those affected by knife crime and delivers choices and consequences anti-knife educational workshops to schools and youth groups from its sites in Islington and Barking & Dagenham in London and at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham. The Trust’s exhibition and its workshops are visited by over 4,000 young people every year. A further 20,000 young people use the Trust’s online resources each year.

As the CEO, Patrick has grown The Ben Kinsella Trust from its roots in Islington, North London to one of the country’s leading anti-knife crime charities. He is regular contributor on TV and in the press campaigning for the adoption of a public health approach to tackling youth violence.

Patrick was a member of the Home Office's Serious Violence Crime Taskforce, which was chaired by the Home Secretary and the Home Office’s Social Media Action Group. In April 2019, Patrick was invited to No.10 by the Prime Minister as a member of the Serious Youth Violence Summit.
