Chemistry Teacher and Lead Practitioner

Shehla Rahman is a chemistry teacher at Aston University Engineering Academy (AUEA) in Birmingham. She is the lead practitioner in charge of teacher CPD and is a coach for staff who use ONVU video lesson observations as a self-reflection tool to improve pedagogical practice. 

 Her main area of interest is supporting staff development in teaching, from trainee teachers to experienced staff. Her Master's dissertation looked at the ways that intervention and personalised support improves student attainment. 

She has 17 years of experience in teaching and has worked in three different schools since graduating from the University of Birmingham. Her hobbies are swimming and anime/manga as well as learning new languages.
