Richard Slade is the Executive Headteacher of Plumcroft Primary School in the London Borough of Greenwich. There has been an 80%+ increase in pupil numbers since 2010. The school now has more that 1,000+ pupils across two campuses. 

Plumcroft has been using specific AI catch-up tools for the last two years and achieved their best ever SATS outcomes in 2024 (well ahead of national outcomes). For the first time ever, Pupil Premium pupils out-performed non-Pupil Premium pupils.

Richard has a 16-year track-record of turning around failing & underperforming London schools and an expertise in using assessment data to transform outcomes for pupils and accelerate the systemic improvement of schools. 

The biggest challenge now and for the future is achieving better outcomes with less money and fewer staff. Our use of AI catch-up tools is now making this possible.
