James Williams is a higher education researcher of 20 years standing. His main focus has been on quality management in the sector, with a particular interest in the staff and student experience of higher education. As a historian by background, James has long had an interest in how universities work and the impact they have, both on the communities around them and on the built environment of which they form a part. Currently, James is leading the Erasmus+ Learning and Teaching Spaces project which is shortly due for completion
