Nikki Plummer is the Head of Service for Domestic Abuse and Interpersonal Violence at Birmingham Children’s Trust. This role was developed and appointed to in January 2021 due to the prevalence and complexity of domestic abuse work identified within the Trust. The scope of the Head of Service  role extends to strategic and operational responsibility in developing resources and the capacity within the Trust to respond to domestic abuse including our early help and social work teams, intervention, prevention and disruption response, ensuring the training and learning needs of staff are met, the commissioning of specialist domestic abuse agencies,  the development of internal support systems such as Intranet pages and webinars and ensuring the Trust are representing children’s needs at strategic and operational partnership meetings and working groups which assist with positive outcomes for children and their non abusive parent.
