Emma has a background in youth and community work and extensive experience of developing and delivering front-line services for families affected by domestic abuse. She currently works as the Strategic Domestic and Sexual Abuse Development Lead in Cheshire East Council, a role which involves bringing partner agencies together to end domestic abuse, informed by feedback and cocreation with those directly impacted.
Her previous roles include Senior Project Development Lead for the Drive project, where she worked on the development of the approach to high harm perpetrators, and Senior Knowledge Hub Advisor for SafeLives where she was the national technical advisor for areas wishing to implement new and innovative approaches to child safeguarding and domestic abuse.
