Chris Dayson is an Associate Professor at Sheffield Hallam University where he works across two strategic research centres, the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) and the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC).
His research focusses on the role, contribution and value of small voluntary and community organisations working to promote health and wellbeing. Since 2013 Chris has been evaluating the Rotherham Social Prescribing Service and his research has played a central role in the development of NHS social prescribing policy.
He is currently involved in a number of projects aiming to enhance the social prescribing evidence base focussing on activities that involve physical activity and which take place in the natural environment.
