Bernadette currently works for Hackney Education implementing the Spanish Initiative across all schools and developing aspects of Content and Language Integrated Learning.

She also teaches on the primary PGCE and BA Ed programmes at Middlesex University. She has taught from KS2 to KS5 and on MA programmes. She ran the Primary Pathfinder in Enfield Local Authority from 2003 - 2011. She is an expert in managing international projects and has worked with headteachers and teachers in Ghana, USA, China and Spain. She is a British Council School Ambassador and a Fellow of the IPDA.
