Deanna Neilson is Director of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance at the national children’s charity Action for Children. Prior to this Deanna was Head of Early Help, Prevention and Permanence at London Borough of Hillingdon. Her additional roles include Vice Chair at London Borough of Waltham Forest’s fostering and adoption panel. Deanna qualified as a social worker in Sydney Australia and has a Masters in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. Deanna has had over 30 years’ experience in safeguarding, child protection and leadership.
