Hannah Woods

Anna Freud

Head of Service - Schools and Colleges Early Support Service

Hannah has over a decade of experience placed at the intersection of education and mental health. A national, school-based mental health service lead, Hannah is an expert in early intervention, delivered remotely as part of a whole school approach model. Safeguarding in an increasingly digital age is at the heart of Hannah's practice; online safety, promoting digital literacy, wellbeing, and resilience are baked into the online delivery model. As well as practising clinically in schools, Hannah has taught across the age ranges and previously led a local authority emotional well-being outreach provision. Hannah trains and supervises practitioners delivering evidence-based interventions which mobilise the educational and familial systems around young people to promote positive mental health and wellbeing for all. An academic, Hannah teaches postgraduate students in mental health, inclusive education, and safeguarding, and is currently undertaking a PhD in trauma-informed leadership in education.
