Born in Mexico City in 1982, from a traditional lower class Mexican family.

Nelida hold a BA in Philosophy and also a Masters Degree Msc in Psychosocial Studies. She came to the UK in 2007. Nelida is married and have a son.

Nelida have 12 years’ experience working in the charitable sector, supporting people in different contexts, homelessness, addictions, mental health, etc.

For last 6 years, she has been working with Refugees and Asylum seekers. Nelida have learnt a lot from the people she supports, their resilience, kindness and patience gives Nelida hope in humanity.
