Dr Ian Paterson is a Lecturer in International Relations at the University of Glasgow and head of the International Relations Masters Programme. His main research and teaching interests lie in the areas of international security studies and security theory, with a specialised focus on securitisation and migration politics. Dr Paterson’s work on these topics has featured in several peer-reviewed outlets, most recently: European Journal of International Security, International Relations and European Security.
