Blerta is an Advance nurse practitioner working in Page Hall medical centre in Sheffield. Blerta is passionate about reducing health inequalities and health inclusion in particular refugees' health and preventing human trafficking and modern slavery.
Alongside her clinical role Blerta is also the safeguarding lead for the practice and works as an Advanced Clinical Practice educator at the School of Nursing, University of Sheffield.
Since last year Blerta works as a Health Inequalities Tutor, SYB Primary Care Workforce and Training Hub teaching health inequality across South Yorkshire primary care clinicians. In February 2022 Blerta received NHS Safeguarding award for commitment to the practice, hard work and dedication to making a difference to safeguarding and being an advocate for marginalised people including those experiencing health inequalities.
