Simon Clayton-Mitchell is an experienced cyber-security and technology consultant with strong experience in the leadership and delivery of consulting assignments across a broad range of clients including UK Central Government, Central London-Local Authorities, financial services, and SME companies.

Simon is the head of Cyber for the London Borough of Merton.

Simon has advised clients on a broad range of cyber-security projects including:

  • Review and assessment of cyber-security operations for mobile operators in Asia Pacific as part of M&A transactions.
  • Threat modelling of Cloud based solution for technology company utilising the STRIDE methodology.
  • Design and implementation of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) process for major London based financial services company.
  • Establishment of security posture for London local authority following ransomware attack.
  • Development of Cloud Security assurance framework for UK Central Government department, utilising OWASP / NCSC guidelines.
  • Simon has also acted as a technology advisor for mobile and fixed ICT network investments in EU, UK, Africa, Middle East

Previously, Simon was a founding member and head of product development and management for Asia Global Crossing and board member of Asia Global Crossing Japan.

Simon has a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Engineering, an MBA from London Business School, an MSc in Finance and Economic Policy from SOAS, University of London, and an MSc (Distinction) in Cyber Security from City, University of London.
