Online Conference 31 March 2022, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Lauren Foley is a Probation Practitioner and the London Neurodiversity Lead for the HMPPS DAWN Staff Network. She discovered she was autistic and attention different aged 30. Her work in neurodiversity advocacy arose as a combination of addressing her own accessibility challenges and those of individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Lauren is currently part of a working group to create a MoJ-wide Neurodiversity toolkit for managers. She is also in the early stages of a project to improve outcomes for neurodivergent offenders. A lover of learning, Lauren is studying for a second degree in psychology in her spare time. Her areas of interest lie in Neurodiversity, particularly in relation to the Criminal Justice System, evolutionary psychology and sleep. She plans to achieve her childhood dream of a PhD. When her nose isn’t in a book, Lauren can usually be found in close proximity to some kind of animal.
