Dr Amanda Clough is Assistant Professor in Law at Northumbria University. She is module lead on the Criminal Law components of the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship for Northumbria Police. Dr Clough's research interests include defences to murder, and sexual offences. She is an active participant in the Gender Violence and Abuse research network, and her PhD considered the difficulties of providing a legal defence for battered women who kill their abuser.
