Online Conference 19 September 2023, 9:00am - 3:00pm
Isabel works as an Ambassador Coordinator within the Higher Education team at Our Streets Now, a campaign to end Public Sexual Harassment in the UK through cultural and legislative change. The Higher Education Ambassadors, whom she is responsible for, represent Our Streets Now at their institutions and campaign for policy changes, following a 2022 report by the team that highlighted the prevalence of the issue and students' lack of trust in their higher education institution handling of reports of PSH.
Isabel has a keen interest in the impact Violence Against Women and Girls has on individuals' behaviour and wider society, having recently done a TEDx talk on the impact of Public Sexual Harassment on Higher Education students. In her talk, she emphasises the importance of collective responsibility in ending PSH and suggests that community engagement is essential in tackling the issue effectively.
Having recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations, Isabel is interested in how Government and policy can help tackle the very real impact of Public Sexual Harassment and Violence Against Women and Girls.
