Supt Manjit Atwal QPM Leicestershire Police, has been seconded to the VAWG Taskforce College of Policing since January 2022

A mother of two and has 27 years’ service and until Jan 2022 most of her service has been at Leicestershire Police or at regional level

She has completed several roles across the Force from PC to Chief Inspector, including Operational and Neighbourhood Policing, Force Intelligence, Regional CT and Violence Complex Crime Unit.  

Other commitments within Leicestershire she still carries out include Hostage Crisis Negotiator, Chair of Women inclusive Network, Chair of the Sikh Association.

Her current role means she is seconded to the College of Policing and works with the VAWG NPCC Lead DCC Maggie Blyth. An area we are all aware of work that impacts on all our communities, our people, and leaders.
