Jain Lemom is Head of Tackling Violence Against Women & Girls at the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), leading this work on behalf of the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. Jain has extensive experience in working with victims and survivors, partner agencies and community groups to develop ground breaking policies and interventions to transform the lives of women and girls across the capital. Since 2016, she has overseen the delivery of more than £117m in Mayoral investment in preventing VAWG, supporting victims and tackling perpetrators – services that reach tens of thousands of Londoners each year. Jain and her team have also provided expert advice for the Mayor’s #Haveaword campaign, which has reached an audience of millions worldwide. Jain is internationally recognised for her innovative work to keep women and girls safe. She chairs a number of London-wide forums bringing partners from a diverse range of sectors to drive strategies on prevention, ensure support to victims and initiatives to tackle perpetrators of VAWG. Jain has spoken about her work with a number of forums, notably at the United Nations.. Jain had an extensive career in public service prior to joining MOPAC, working for the Greater London Authority, London Councils and the Association of London Government. She has also worked in the banking industry and in the voluntary and community sector.
