Richard served as an Army Bomb Disposal Officer in 1996 deploying to Bosnia to manage three Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams, dealing with mines, projectiles and all manner of explosive hazards. He has a wide variety of experience on both land and underwater, running a Royal Engineers’ EOD Diving Team as a qualified supervisor. He has worked in the NGO sector for Mines Advisory Group and commercially at G4S Ordnance Management, Bactec and is now the MD of RSK Ordnance Management. He has global experience of managing and clearing explosive risks and setting international standards as a consultant to Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
