Salma has a strong background in business administration and management, with over 25 years of experience spanning finance, operations, property management, and the education sector, where she has served as a headteacher and an educational consultant.

In 2018, Salma co-founded SHEWISE charity to improve the economic and social position of minority ethnic women by providing business support and startup services. She is deeply committed to reducing barriers faced by individuals and communities, ensuring that local services effectively address social and economic exclusions.

Salma has initiated and developed a range of social impact and economic development programs. She leads the overall strategic development and provides financial and operational leadership for the organisation.
