Kate Wisbach is a Trainee Solicitor through the Social Welfare Solicitor’s Qualification Scheme, and a qualified Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration & Asylum Accreditation Scheme. She graduated from Durham University in 2017 with a degree in Modern Languages, then stayed in the area to work as a charity project manager. She decided to retrain in immigration law after running a busy drop-in for newly arrived asylum seekers and being presented with the many and varied injustices facing those seeking sanctuary in the UK. Kate works at the North East Law Centre based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and mainly represents unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, adult asylum seekers and victims of domestic abuse. When not working, Kate can be found at the beach – running, cycling or paddleboarding!
