Bea has been with RefuAid since June 2022, and she currently works as the senior requalification caseworker. RefuAid was established in 2016, following the unfolding events occurring in Greece at the time. RefuAid focuses on three key barriers that people from displaced backgrounds face, and aim to support those trying to restart their life in the UK through their core programmes. These barriers are: access to finance and re-qualification advice, language provisions and employment support.
They have supported nearly 2,000 people across their programmes, and now with over 108 million people thought to be displaced globally, they are really keen to collaborate with the sector and share their experiences to hopefully overcome the ongoing barriers together.
