James Murphy is Director of Marketing Communications and Policy at IOSH, the Chartered professional body and charity with over 50,000 members worldwide advocating for a safe and healthy world of work for all.

He is a passionate champion of professional development and of the importance and power of professional expertise. He is a Chartered Marketer with over 20 years’ experience at senior levels in global membership organisations, and as a consultant to such bodies. James has delivered international campaigns, digital transformation projects, crisis communications and helped develop and launch new strategies, brands and products to encourage new entrants into professions. 

James is a trustee of Icon – the Institute of Conservation, a professional body and charity dedicated to those who protect our cultural heritage.
