David is the Director of Estates for East London NHS FT and Vice President of CIBSE. A Chartered Engineer with over 30 years’ experience across design, construction, operations, and strategic planning, he is a visible LGBTQI+ leader and mentor within the built environment sector. David chairs both the CIBSE Facilities Management Group and LGBTQI+ Panel, co-authored CIBSE Guide M, and has won multiple awards for team leadership and innovation. He is a Fellow of four professional institutions and a strong advocate for inclusion, excellence, and user-centred estate delivery.
