Naheed is a professionally qualified and a nationally recognised EDI subject matter expert. She has experience in a wide range of sectors including public, voluntary and higher education where she has led EDI transformation programmes and projects.  

Naheed is currently the Director of Equality Diversity and Inclusion at Manchester met university. Naheed was recognised and named as top 50 influential Muslim leader in Europe in 2023 by Equality X. 

Naheed has a proactive leadership style in challenging existing practices and in promoting service redesign and reconfiguration in line with national policy and guidance. She has influenced board and senior managers of the respective merits of different options, innovation and new market opportunities.

She is a qualified coach and mentor and delivers coaching at executive level across public and private sectors. 

Naheed’s leadership journey was featured in the ‘Still I Rise campaign’ which was exhibited at the Lowry in Salford.
