Matthew is a lecturer at the Liverpool John Moores University, and has a background as a specialist nurse in tissue viability and infection control. His research primarily focuses on digital aspects of nursing with a focus on wound care. He continues to support clinical practice via an honorary position as a tissue viability specialist and has worked with senior leaders nationally to support the digitalisation of nursing.
