Charles has an extensive background in digital health. Recent work includes assessing 40 apps for the NHS app library before it was discontinued and campaigning for significant changes to the way DTAC is assessed.  He is CEO of the free-to-join Digital Health & Care Alliance (DHACA), a Past President of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Digital Health Section and was awarded the Royal College of Physicians’ Ella Pringle medal in 2019. He now Chairs Age UK Ealing. Until recently he was also Chair of Citizens Online, the digital inclusion charity.
