Eddie Boyd is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and seasoned Energy & Sustainability Specialist with over forty years’ experience spanning contracting, consultancy, and public‑sector service delivery. His career has centred on advancing low‑carbon, smart‑building solutions and embedding sustainable practices across publicsector property portfolios.

A long‑standing member of both the Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Eddie has led major programmes in energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and renewable technology deployment. His work includes spearheading domestic energy‑upgrade initiatives, shaping Scottish Government energy schemes, and developing the Highland Council’s Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy alongside renewable opportunity mapping.

Eddie is recognised for his influential role in shaping policy and operational practice that support the transition to net zero. He has developed and embedded processes for sustainable building performance, carbon accounting, and energy‑master planning—guiding organisations toward innovative, practical and future‑proofed solutions. A skilled mentor and communicator, he regularly leads training and webinars to share knowledge across the public sector.
