Professor Peter Francis joined Birmingham City University in July 2021. His responsibilities as Deputy-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) include the academic portfolio, academic partnerships and TNE, home and international student recruitment, student experiences, student support, and student mental health and wellbeing.  He leads on the University’s response to TEF. Previously he was at the University of Northumbria, and as Deputy Vice Chancellor with responsibility for the academic offer and its delivery, he led that University’s Covid-19 response to students, including all aspects of learning and teaching.
