Matthew Guest is the Head of Local and Regional Business Engagement within the Research and Enterprise Service for the University of Central Lancashire. Prior to this role, he was a Policy Manager for GuildHE, the representative body for smaller and specialist universities and colleges, where he led on policy areas related to place, knowledge exchange and skills.

Before joining GuildHE, Matthew was the Marketing Manager for a medium-sized charity. He’s worked at the Centre for Charity Effectiveness, City, University of London, in project management, communications and business development. In 2009/10, Matthew was the Director for Student Development & Activities at the University of St Andrews Students’ Association.

Matthew holds an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management from City and an MA in Classics from St Andrews.
