Angie works at the Alzheimer’s Society as Community Development Co-Ordinator for the Manchester Dementia Alliance.
She has been at the Society for 18 months and her roles included Dementia Advisor for Manchester and Bury also leading on the SFTB (Singing for the Brain) Virtual sessions.
Prior to working for the Society, she worked for 38 years at Tameside MBC Adult Social Care, Carers Centre, and Public Health and Lead on the Peer Support Team at a local Mental Health Charity.
She has experience of Dementia supporting family members and sadly losing 3 close family members and an Auntie in 24-hour care.
She is passionate and committed to ‘Making a Difference’ to those living with Dementia.
In her spare time she has raised over £250,000 for various charities close to her heart and set up 2 community groups supporting people and raising vital funds for Society.
