Ian McCormack is the Deputy Director for the Government team with the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). He is responsible for overseeing the security advice and assistance provided to improve the cyber resilience of the UK Public Sector including HM UK Government, Defence, Health and the Devolved Administrations of the UK. Ian is also the GCHQ Senior Responsible Owner for ‘Defending Democracy’, including the cyber security of election processes.  

Ian is particularly interested in subjects that support the development of good security practices into commodity technology services and design. Ian has been instrumental in the secure enablement of contemporary technology into Government, with a particular focus on cloud service use
