Dr Pritchard is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a doctorate in Social Policy and Administration from the LSE. She is a socio-ecologist with an interdisciplinary background, currently leading at the University of Bedfordshire in education for sustainability, and equality and inclusivity. The trans-disciplinary activities she has developed as a practitioner involve multiple actors and have been sector recognised. Her international career has included work in universities in the USA, Central America and Spain, as regional director in Mesoamerica for an international conservation organisation, Fauna and Flora, and consultancy with various donor and UN agencies. She is undertaking research on global higher education practices which develop 21st century competences as part of the five-year evaluation she also conducts, within a consortium, of the Strategic Partnerships for Innovation and Reform initiative, which is funded by the UK government’s FCDO and implemented by the British Council.
