Sarah Lynch

Sarah is a highly experienced director and strategic advisor with a successful track record in change management and business development, and with specific expertise in the Retail, Sport, and Not-For-Profit sectors.

She has over 30 years’ International experience as a senior leader and MD across a range of industries in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and the USA.

She has a BA (Hons) in French and German and is a fluent French and German speaker.

Sarah started her career as a graduate trainee at K Shoes, and her early focus was in Marketing roles with British Shoe Corporation and Scholl, now SSL International and part of Reckitt Benckiser.

From 2002-2006, she was MD of the International division of C&J Clark International where she successfully launched Clarks into China and Eastern Europe which led to significant growth for the company in these new, emerging markets.

From 2007-2009, as SVP of EMEA and Asia for Umbro, she led on the strategic integration of the Umbro International business within Nike upon acquisition in 2008, and successfully transitioned the business through the recession.

In 2010, Sarah made a conscious decision to apply her change management and business development skills to Not-For-Profits and joined Manchester City FC to develop their community and CSR work.

From 2010-2012, as MD of City in the Community, Sarah transformed Manchester City FC’s Charity and Community work by collapsing the existing trust, setting up a new foundation with a trading arm to enable trading and private sector funding to happen alongside public sector funding, and launched the Club’s first International CSR base in New York via the acquisition of a community delivery team from a local New York Junior Football Club.

Sarah currently has a portfolio of clients across the Sport and Not-For-Profit sector. She is currently acting as a strategic advisor to a global online cycling accessories company and as Project Director for the gunnercooke foundation, the charitable arm of the challenger law firm, gunnercooke.                                                                                                                                                                  

Sarah is also a trustee of a local Manchester charity.
