Supporting the Armed Forces Community 

The Institute of Government & Public Policy is proud to support the Armed Forces Community.

We are a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant which is a promise by the nation to ensure that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

We recognise the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to the government and public policy arena, and to our own business.

We are proud to have been recognised for our support to the Armed Forces community by the Ministry of Defence, which has awarded us a Bronze Award for their Employer Recognition Scheme.

As part of our support to the Armed Forces Community, we have created a special discount offer for Service Leavers, Veterans, Reservists and Cadet Adult Instructors.

We offer 50% discount on our events and 25% discount on our courses.

The discount for events is off our ‘Public Sector’ rate for the event.

To obtain a discount code to book any of our events or training courses, email us at [email protected] with the following information:

• Full name
• Rank
• Service number
• Unit
• Details of the event or training course you want to attend (title and date).

Emails should be sent from a Defence email account (@mod.gov.uk) where an individual is still serving in the military.

We aim to respond to requests within one working day. When you receive your discount code, book and pay for the event or training course on our website. The discount will be applied at checkout.

Standard Learning Credits (SLCs) can be used for some of our events and courses. Guidance on SLCs can be found in JSP 822: Defence Direction and Guidance for Training and Education (Part 1, Section 8.4).

In addition, several of our training courses are available via the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Scheme (ELCAS). Search for our training delivery partner, In Professional Development (ELCAS Provider ID 11453) to view their latest list of ELCAS registered courses.
